A delightful little creature who dwells among the roses, pansies, and other
flowers in your garden. If you are very careful not to be seen, you can see
her dusting your flowers with her magical fairy sprinkles to
bring forth the most beautiful and vibrant blooms you can imagine.
Laureli evolved as a new design after an attempt to re-write Gretchen, a first
year design. The only thing that remained consistent was the body and vest
design, so a new doll was born!
Laureli, named by my sister, is 13", and created from doll face pink velour.
She
has articulated fingers, stitched toes and sculpted body. Her face is needle
sculpted then painted with water color pencils, then sealed. Her hair is Tibetan
wool accented by Venetian fringe lace and dyed cheesecloth.
Costume consists of silk vest with trim, and dyed cheesecloth for skirt and
sleeve panels.
Laureli's pride and glory is her wings, created from organza, wired, glittered
and painted lightly.
