is a truly unique doll, an original one of a kind . She is jointed at the
shoulders and hips with invisible jointing, and her legs are bent for sitting.
She is 18" tall sitting. Her fingers are articulated and wired to hold objects.
Estelle's body is from white doe suede, and her face is from muslin onto which I
transferred my own hand drawn face, inspired by
and then painted with water color pencils and sealed. Her skirt is a soft green
flower print trimmed with wide ecru lace, and her peasant style blouse is from
light apricot gauze. Estelle's head warp is a cotton imported fabric which has
been wrapped and sewn onto her head and embellished with a wood parrot piece.
She is accessorized with her very own to-scale wood guitar with strings, wood
bead earrings and hand made bead necklace. Estelle also wears a beautiful lace
cutwork shawl across her shoulders. Her shoes are painted on and trimmed with
hand dyed trim.
